Location: Remote with mandatory in-person events in Montgomery County, the DMV, and Baltimore.

Pay Rate: $30.00 per hour for 15 hours per week

Job Description: We are looking for an enthusiastic part-time contractor to join our team as a Marketing & Events Coordinator! During this 3-month contract period, you'll be working on live events like Montgomery County Pride In The Plaza, LIYT Nights & Drag Duels, The 3rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration, Black Girl Magic Stories ,the MOCO PRIDE show, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop creative multifaceted marketing campaigns that spread the word about our advocacy programs

  • Manage all social media channels with engaging content that gets people talking

  • Utilize an extensive video library to create daily social media posts

  • Design eye-catching promotional materials for our amazing events

  • Be part of the action by providing onsite support at special events (set up/breakdown activities, staffing booths, and managing volunteers)

  • Stay ahead of the game by researching current industry trends in marketing event planning

Requirements:

  • A fun-loving attitude and genuine passion for supporting intersectional Black, LGBTQIA+, and IPOC underserved communities

  • Experience in event planning marketing or social media management is preferred but not required - enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!

  • Must have access to reliable phone and internet during work hours
