RALLY FOR INCLUSIVE EDUCATION

AT THE SUPREME COURT

 Date: Tuesday, April 22, 2025
 Location: U.S. Supreme Court, Washington

                              Time: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM

The Coalition for Inclusive Schools & Communities and the Montgomery County Pride Family are mobilizing for a powerful rally in support of inclusive education as the U.S. Supreme Court hears the MCPS LGBTQ+ curriculum opt-out case.

The opposition seeks to erase LGBTQIA+ identities from the classroom! Now is the time to stand together and defend diverse, affirming learning environments that uplift and empower all students.

This case is pivotal in the fight for educational equality, challenging Montgomery County Public Schools' commitment to inclusive, fact-based education. At a time when LGBTQIA+ students and families are facing increased attacks nationwide, we must take a stand to defend access to diverse, affirming learning environments that reflect and respect all identities.

Why This Matters:

  • Inclusive books save lives—representation in education fosters understanding, reduces stigma, and ensures that LGBTQIA+ youth see themselves and their families reflected in their schools.

  • The fight for LGBTQIA+ inclusion is a fight for all marginalized communities—erasure of LGBTQ+ voices in schools is part of a broader attack on diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice.

  • We must show up and be heard—this case could set a national precedent, influencing school policies across the country.

Join us to rally, share stories, and send a clear message: We will not be silenced. We will not be erased.
